Home sweet Home

Well we made it home finally, but not without an adventure. We woke up early our last day in Paris and headed off to catch the only RER (train) to the airport. Come to find out, some idiot commited suicide by jumping in front of the train, so the line is closed. Were like 4 hours early, but we have no way to get there. Finally they start running buses, but there was about 150 people trying to cram on the buses. Finally we got on one and made it to the airport at 1115 and were sposed to leave at 1125 haha. Luckily it was delayed due to weather. Made it to Newark then to PTI. Thanks all for following along!

So we made it to Rome yesterday. We got off the train, traveled to our badass campground and chilled at the pool all day. This place is really badass because it is like a little city on the outskirts of Rome. Its a campground with a restaurant, store, pool, bar, club, the works. Last night we stayed in a bungalow, but unfortunately tonight and tomorrow night we have to stay in a tent. Its got 2 beds, but we have 2 so peter has the luxury of staying alone lol. Were kinda worried because its pretty hot here, but hopefully it will be cool enough to sleep tonight. We will see. Today we planned on walking around the city and seeing whats up. When we got into the city, we started walking around when we stumbled on the coliseum. We ended up paying €21 for a tour of the coliseum and palatine hill which was definitely worth it. It was really interesting to see all of the history. By the time we finished, it was 4 and we were exhausted. We came back and chilled at the pool for awhile, ate some dinner, and now we are here. Think we might go grab some icecream and hang out by the pool for the rest of the night. Headed to Nice on a 12 hour overnight train on wednesday night. Will probably post agin before we leave Rome....peace

Italy

So we took an overnight train from Munich to Venice. Needless to say we didnt get much sleep. We got to Venice and tried to find some accomodations, but ofcourse the cheapest hotel was like 45€ a night so we said f that. We went to an internet cafe and found a hsotel in Florence. We toured Venice for the day and hopped on a train for Florence. We got here and were searching for our hostel when we saw a dude on his motorcycle get hit by a car literally 10 feet in front of us. Im surprised it doesnt happen more often the way the idiots drive on their mopeds and motorcycles. The dude seemed alright, maybe a broken leg. Eventually we found our hostel which is pretty nice. Its the most expensive one yet, but were only staying 2 nights so its straight. We already booked the rest of our trip so I think were ok from here on out. France is a little iffy though because we couldnt fine a cheap hostel so we booked a hotel room with 1 double bed. Hopefully were gonna call and see if we can sleep 3 in there with a cot or something. If they say no, were going to have to sneak one of us in at night. Oh well. But were gonna go explore Florence now...peace

Lost posts, castles, and Road Trip....

So i wrote a post yesterday and posted it, not sure where it ended up. But yesterday we woke up early and took a train to Neuschwanstein Castle. Google it. Its the one that Disney designed his castle after and it was really cool. Theres another castle right beside it so we toured both and spent the day there. Took a train home and got there around 9. We slightly celebrated the 4th of July but nothing too crazy. Had to check out this morning around 10, so we all woke up around 9:30 and packed everything up. Checked out and hopped on the train for Dachau. We toured the Dachau Concentration Camp for a long time which was pretty neat. They had a ton of history and what not which was neat. We came back to Munich and hit up the Hunting and Fishing museum. Which was, needless to say, very very badass. Kyle and Peter werent big fans but I liked it haha. Walking home, the highlight of the day, we saw the dude from Road Trip (not sure of his name, maybe Kyle? The skinny one who 'boinks' the fat black chick haha) so we stopped and got a picture with him. Instant classic. So we came back to the hostel, which weve already checked out of, and are just hanging out. Its raining (someone forgot to tell us it rains EVERY day in Europe, I only thought that was London.) so we cant really go out and do anything. Our train to Venice doesnt leave until 11:35 tonight and its only 4;30. So weve got some waiting around to do lol. But Im running out of minutes on this computer so Ill hit yall up from Italy when we get there....peace

The English version of last nights post....

Whats up everyone. I thought I had already posted it but i guess not, we are in Munich. Took the train from Vienna to here yesterday which took about 4 hours. We hung out for awhile then, obviously, went on a pübcrawl. there was only 5 of üs so it was kind of lame. But our guide needed to take some weight off of his back, so i took a few shots of the orangejuice he had. It tasted really weird though, almost like it had alcohol in it...who knows? I got back and tried to write a post in German, thats the only reason kyle had to translate. After that we went to bed, and had to wake up early to take the walking tour our pubcrawl guide made us promise to come on. So we did, and it was really good. Saw a ton of stuff in Munich and what not. Tomorrow we plan on going to the castle that Walt Disney modeled his castle after which should be straight. Then Thursday were gonna take a tour to Dachau, the concentration camp. After the walking tour today, we went through the massive gardens in the city. They have a 'nude beach', which is just grass beside the river. Dont go there, unless youre into old naked men. We saw some random Chinese pagoda then we went to the surfing area. Its really cool´. Its a part of the river that flows really fast so they put something in the water to make it rise up like a wave and the guys surf it. We got some sweet videos and pictures of this, which is cool. But were gonna head to the room and see whats going on. Probably just gonna hang out here tonight. Later...

P.S. Creighton were going to the Hunting and FIshing Museum tomorrow for you haha...

Day 10...

So last night was really fun. We started the night jsut chilling iun the common room and met this guy from France named Chris. He's like 27 or something but hes cool as hell. We started talking then he went and grabbed a half liter of vodka and some coke so thats how we started the night. After the 4 of us finished that badboy and drank a few beers we headed to some lounge. There, I had a beer, kyle and chris ahd some Chardonnay, and peter had a 'viagra' which is some crazy drink. We then hit up another cheap bar, had a few beers, nad headed to the bangingest club ive bever been to. Its 5 stories and each story is like a differenzt club. Each floor has a different club with a bar and a chill room with a bar. Each floor plays different music. The mojority of the poepúle were on the floor with the 80s american music haha. So we danced to some 'beat it' and what not last night. We all chilled and did our own thing till around 4. We ended up taking a cab home....oh yea, the cab driver on the way to the club told us he had been in jail for 5 years for have 9.5 kilos of heroin on him in Copehagen haha.

This morning we woke up around 1:30 or 2. We grabbed some 'Eurodogs' and took our own walking tour around the city. It ended up taking about 4 or 5 hours but it was straight. We saw a bunch of big ass castles and cathedrals and what not. Don't worrry cathy we took plenty of picturs hhaa. We came back to the hostel and took a little nap. Now were just chilling in the common room with Chris and some Nordic Ice (Czeck Vodka for 5 dollars a fifth haha] but weher about to watch a movie...peace...

Day 8\9 cont...

Yesterday, we decided to get up early and take a walking tour of Berlin. So we woke up at 2:30 or so and grabbed a quick bite to eat. We headed to the pickup and waited a few minutes. Ofcourse it was cold as shit and very windy on top of that. Apparently it has been really nice in Berlin until we got there. Oops..So we took the tour which was badass. It was through the same company we took the tour in Amsterdam with, neweurope.eu. Our guide was from England but he knew his stuff. We saw a bunch of stuff and took lots of pictures (good news cathy, we have over 100!] After the tour, we went back to the hostel and hung out for awhile. Around 9 we headed out to see the Reichstag and the big ass gate (forget the name] all lit up. We got some sweet pics of the gate then headed to the Reichstag, which is the parliament. There is a huge dome on top of that you can walk around and look down into the building. The dome closes at 10 and we showed up at 10:01 but luckily we got in the last tour. It was really cool. We decided to take it easy after doing two pub crawls in the last two nights. We came home, chilled in the lobby for awhile, then went to the room, read, and passed out.

Woke up this morning and checked out, left our finnish friend Joona who we've been travelling with the past few days, and headed to the train station. We grabbed some McDonalds and hopped on the train. We thought we were gonna have to buy a ticket once we left Dresden and headed to the Czech Rep because its not covered in our Eurail pass. But in typical American style we stuck it to the man and managed to get off for free. We rode first class with all of the old german businessmen too good for coach haha. It was funny to see us 3 scrubs reeking of B.O. mixed in with the "professional" crowd. But the Czech conductor came by to check our ticket and we showed it to him, expecting to have to pay. Luckily he couldn't read or something and he just said OK and kept walking. We got off the train station and began our search for a hostel. We walked around for awhile until I walked into a Ramada and asked for the directions to a hostel. He pointed us towards this one unfortunately haha. Its pretty sketchy and not nearly as nice as the last 2 but oh well it will do. We're only staying 2 nights so I guess we'll just have to drink a few biers so we won't mind the sketchiness haha. We just got back from some pizzeria and ate alfredo and a drink for 146Kc or around 5€, which is really cheap. But I think we're gonna go to this club up the street and see whats going on there. But I've been working on a "Random Thoughts" post that I will put on here tomorrow probably.

Pops, nice article and thanks for the shoutout. Cathy, unfortunately Peter is still in customs at the airport in Amsterdam so thats why he hasn't commented. Maddie, how the hell did you bust your toes that bad? Teresa, still waiting on those other addresses, the stuff in Berlin looked fake so we didn't even bother buying anything. Everyone else, I'll throw you in the Random post...peace

P.S...If you could't tell, I finally decided to make a sober post since everyone seems to be reading. I'm sure it won't last long though, and expect more 'colorful' posts later :-].

Day 7....

Hey whats up everyone. Today was pretty uneventful. We didn't wake up until 3, yes 3 haha. We woke up and walked around town for a little bit. We were going to take a walking tour but obviously we woke up too late. Instead we just walked to the massive TV\radio tower close to our hostel. As soon as we got there, it started to pour down rain like always around here. We chilled under the street in some subway until the rain passed. We walked home and decided to take yet another pubcrawl haha. Since you have to buy alcohol at every bar on this crawl, unlike amsterdam, we decided to buy some jaeger before hand. We each bought like 10€ worth, which would cost like 35dollars in the US. Needless to say we had fun on the pubcrawl but it was an early night. Its only 3am. We would have stayed longer but my fellow travelers were struggling if you know what i mean. I helped them home and they went and passed out haha. It was fun though. We plan on waking up and taking the free NewBerlin tour tomorrow morning (yea right) or afternoon tour. It should be pretty bad ass...

Thanks for reading everyone. It makes me feel like im not wasting my time writing all of this...Sarah, I hope yall are partyin hard. I wish yall were all here partyin with us, going in bars legally but oh well. Maddie yopu broke yopour toe? haha I hope its not too bad and I hope it is straight...kiss to your toe...Teresa, you better be glad your not here. If you were, there would definitely not be any private school for Hailey because youd spend everything in all of the stores haha. Pops, Im glad you didnt lose anything, but i doubt you had as much fun without us haha...Mom, you can finally stop crying, its been a week! haha....Matt, post a link with pictures I wanna see the massacre...Vandon, Im not even sure if you read this but I miss you like mad and wish you were here more than anything. But I hope youre having fun in Kvegas. Love you!....but everyone have a good one and I will update manana....peace

Day....whatever day it is..

So last night was blah. We took the train from Amsterdam around 3 to Brussels. We went early to Brussels so we could lok around but it wasn'nt worth it. It sucked really bad. It smelled like straight dog shit and there was literally dog shit everzwhere. The onlz good thing was the bum fight we saw as we left the train station. These bums just randomlz started brawling haha. We left Brussels at around midnight last night for Berlin. We thought hez, we can sleep on the train right? Not so muchhhh. There were 6 seats to a little cabing thing and we had 6 people-me, kzle, johann, and peter. We all got a few hours of yyyy's but overall we didnät get much sleep at all. We got to Berlin, walked around for awhile before finding a HOstel to staz in. Its caled the 'Heart of Gold'. It seems reallz straight but who knows. Hell its 5:15am here and we just got back from the pub crawl. The park bench looked straight if zou ask me. And zes, I'm not that drunk I know all of mz Y's are Z's because thez are opposite on this german kezboard. No more qwerty but instead qwertz. But were off to bed. We might do another pub crawl tomorrow night if we wake up in time (starts around 8pm haha). But take it easz in the usa and we will talk later....peace...

Day 3....

Ok whats upo guys...just getting in from the night out...pretty good day. We woke up really laye around 1:30 or so. Went out, went to the Heineken Expereicen (see picture below). After that we headed out and went to some big ass windmill that was a pretty good distance away. We rode our bikes all the way there. We rode arounmd town for awhile to check out the sites and \see what was up. We came back to the bar in the hostel and hung our for awhile to watch the under 21 futbol championship. Everyone was really puimped up because the Netherlands won and eeveryone here went crazy. We ate dinner there and hung out with some people. We chilled for happy hour and bought some drinks. We met a really cool guy from Finland name Joona. I think he might ride the train to Berlin with us tomorrow night which should be straight. We all ended up going out on the town. We toured the red light district which was really packed..I guess because its Saturday. Then we went to "Rembrandt Square" where the clubs are suppusodely. We walked around and went in a few clubs/bars. Nothing much going on so we just came back to the hostel now about 2:30. WE wanmted to find soime of the bars from last nights pub crawl but unfortunately we couldnt remember where they were haha....imagine that. But were headed off to bed now. Gotta wake up around 8 to eat breakfast, do laundry (blah), take our bikes back and check out of the hostel. But we'll try and update again tomorrow night. Later...

A picture...

So we woke up around 1 today and went to the "Heineken Experience"....it was definitely worth it. It costed 11euros but you got a pretty cool experience and 3 beers woot...unfortunately I forgot the camera but they have this cool thing set up so you can take a pic...check it out...

Day 2...

Ok so it's 4:15 in the morning here and we just got boack from the pub craaawl. It was pretty intense and definitely worth the 20euros that we paid. We didn't drink anything (haha) but we had fun dancing and chillilng with everyone. It's really cool hanging out with people from Pakistan, India, Italy, Turkey, England, and everywhere eles in the world at the same time. We met some people from our hostel and hung out with them today. They ended up taking the free walking tour with us which was really cool. There was so much about Amsterdam that we never knew and it was definitely worth the 5euros each that we tipped our tour guide. We met a girl from Turkey who was really cool on the trip and gave us some recomendations as to what to do in various cities. The walking tour ended up taking about 4 hours and we probably walked about 5+ miles, but it was worth it. When we wake up tomorrow, hopefully not too late, we plan on touring some museums around town. The first stop, ofcourse, will be the Heineken Museum, and from theres its up in the air.

Kyle and Peter are both asleep, lightweights, but I still hjave the dedication to power through the tiredness (if thats a word) to update this ish haha..But for everyone reading, thanks for the comments and what not. Its really cool to think that we are half a world away yet we can still manage to communicate in one way or another. Mom...you're crazy I know you're still crying ;-). Pops, maybe you can actually catch something now that the real fisherman aren't on board haha. Matt...the girls are either 50euros or covered in hair. You take your pick haha. For us, it's neither. While we were waiting for the tour to start today, I looked over and this chick seriuosly had more armpit hair than I did. I don't know if that's embarrasing or not haha. Cathy/Dr. Soldato....I tried to censor this as best as possible, sry for the "colorful" language. Wence, we took shots...we saw people take shots ;-)....of yeager tonight for you. Michelle, were alive, no worries the Italian Stallion shall return better than ever. Dara...I don't know what to say...wait...I think I just heard you say something..."chugalug"....yep I heard it. Creighton...you better be throwing down at the lake or something. We chugged....we saw some german fellas chug....some Heinekin for you tonight. "Momma Till"...maybe she'll come down to STate and do mine and Crieghtons laundrty eh? Maddie...don't worry we only have like 27 more days. Vandon, I love you ofcourse but its a good thing you didn't come. All that money you saved for the car woulda been in the Coach store cash drawer ;-).Everyone else, thanks for checking this out and hopefully the next hostel will have a computer as well. Should be able to post another update manana. Wow, I just looked out the window and the effin sun is coming up already....guess its another night with the sleep blinders thingmabobers on. I'm really not liking this sunset at 11pm and sunrise at 5am....but I guess it's like 11pm there. Everyone have a good one and hopefully we/I can have more updates tomorrow.....peace.

P.S. I think were gonna skip Copenhagen and go straight to Berlin. It's out of the way and very expensive....

Day 1

So yesterday was quite the adventure. It was definitely a lot of fun. After I left off yesterday, we went back out to a bar on some sketchy street. We started out just hanging out watching the Portugal v. Italy Futbol game and drinking some drinks. We ended up sitting at the bar with some crazy British guy for several hours. He was funny as hell telling us the craziest stories. Italy ended up winning the game in pks. Spike, the crazy Brit, ended up buyin all of us rounds so we hung out with him for awhile as we felt obligated haha. All of the bars here close at 1am which is pretty gay considering it doesn't get dark until 11 or so. We left the bar at 1 and roamed around the city for awhile. It was disturbing to see the number of people coming up to us asking to sell coke and ecstasy. The coolest part is the "toilets" on the sides of streets. Its pretty much a metal cirlce which you go in and pee on a concrete slab haha. But it gets light here at about 5:30 or 6 so theres only about 7 hours of darkness. Its 8:15 right now and I've already taken a shower and eaten my breakfast. I think we are going to take the free walking tour offered by the hostel today at 10:30. After that we are going to rent some bikes and ride around the city. Bikes are the way to go around here thats for sure. I think tonight we are going to do a pub crawl which should be pretty fun. This guy gave us a card yesterday and its definitely a pretty good deal. Check it out at www.joinultimateparty.com . Pretty much you meet up and they take you to different bars. You get a beer at each of the 6 bars and a shot between each bar. Sounds fun to me haha. But I'm gonna go try and take a little nap before the bike rental shop opens and before the walking tour...peace

WE MADE IT!

Good news...we made it haha. It was quite the adventure but we just checked in at the Hostel we will be staying in for the next 3 nights. We left PTI a little late around 2:45 ish for Newark. All went well and we arrived to Newark with about an hour left until take off. Unforutunately we ran into a 30 minute delay before boarding. Once we got on, it was "rush hour" on the runway and we had to wait for fourteen, yes fourteen, planes to take off in front of us as we watched. We ended up sitting on the runway for about an hour and finally headed out at about 7:00pm. The 7 hour flight seemed to drag on forever as we watched the gayest movie in the world "The Kid" or something like that. Luckily they served some bangin lasagna for dinner which was badass. It sucked hard though because we flew through the darkness and it was only dark for like 3 hours or so. We landed at Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam around 8:15am. We managed to walk around the biggest airport In the fuckin world for atleast an hour haha. We finally managed to waste 3 euros on a train ticket that didn't even get checked on the train.

We got off in downtown Amsterdam. Needless to say we were 3 lost tourists and just followed the masses. The first place we stopped was a McDonalds that claimed they had ,75e fries but the bitches lied and they were 1,75e. But while standing in line, we saw this dude infront of us casually holding 2 joints ordering some food haha. We said f this and walked out and walked...and walked....and walked. We managed to get really lost on our way to our hostel that was "right behind that church" according to some sketchy homeless guy. We walked around turning maps upside down and rightside up. We finally managed to find the street we were on but they forgot to tell us the odds were on the left side of the street so we walked the entire right side of the street looking for 97...finally we asked some English chick and she pointed us in the right direction. Thanks english chick, and f you homeless guy. But its 11:35am here, nad 5:35 at home. We all got about 1 to 1.5 hrs of sleep on the plane so were all running on straight adrenaline right now haha. Hope to be back on later but only hadve 35 seconds left on this computer....later guys

P.S.....its true, they sell weed

Heading Out

Alright. Just took my last shower and ate my last meal haha. But we're about to head to the airport. I really hope we can update this blog so I can talk to everyone and let you all know whats up. But if not, everyone have a badass summer and party hard. I'll be back July 20th and I expect a going away party haha. Later guys...

The Plan.

Ok so here's the plan. Kyle, my twin brother, Peter, my life long friend, and I are heading across the world this summer. This should be one of the craziest, most outrageous endeavors of our lives. Not only are we half way across the world for the month by ourselves, but all we have is the clothes on our backs and a backpack. No suitcase. No laptops. No Golf Clubs, unfortunately.

I think we plan on taking:
-a pair of pants
-2 pairs a shorts
-a few crappy t-shirts
-a nice polo
-walking shoes
-a pair of cheap sandals (for showering)
-diddy bag with toothbrush, toothpaste, contacts, etc.
-Let's Go Europe book (travel guide)
-cheap digital camera

All of this has to fit in a standard size backpack as thats all we will be taking. Atleast we can just take it on the planes as carry on. Ok so here's the flexible, very flexible schedule.

1. Amsterdam
2. Copenhagen with side trip to Sweden
3. Northern Germany Stop (Peenumunde?)
4. Berlin
5. Praque
6. Vienna
7. Munich
8. Venice and Northern Italy
9. Rest of Italy including Rome and Florence
10. Switzerland, Nice, France
11. Paris

Obviously all of this is tentative. There is always the possibility that we will love one city and hate another. We purchased our 1st class Eurail passes today. We got first class so we are guaranteed a spot on the train and possibly our own private booth. We also have our "IYH" or Internationl Youth Hostel cards awhile back. We plan on staying in hostels in most cities, which this card will allow us to do. Our passports should come sometime next week as it has been about 10 weeks, the approximation for arrival, since we ordered them.

My plan is to stop throughout Europe and attempt to update this blog. It would be sweet if I could get pictures on here while in Europe but that my prove to be very difficult. More than likely I will just post about where we are, what we are doing, what we've experienced, etc. Once I get home I will, unless crazy gypsies steal my camera, post tons of pictures. I am really pumped up about this and can't wait for June 20th!
